The Kebbi State Hisbah has arrested a 16-year-old boy Habibu Umar, for alleged rape of two girls in the Badariya district of Kebbi State.
Umar confessed to the crime and was taken to the police for further investigation.
This was disclosed via the Facebook page of Kebbi Hisbah on Wednesday, November 22.
Writing in Hausa, it translates: “Hisbah government of Kebbi state has succeeded in arresting Habibu Umar 16 years old for allegedly raping 2 girls aged 5 and 6 in Badariya district of Kebbi.
“Today Tuesday 21/11/2023, Hisbah commissioner of Kebbi state have arrested a boy named Habibu Umar living in Badariya district in Kebbi city for allegedly raping 2 young girls aged 5 and 6 years old.
“The investigation of Hisbah Dana Hospital on the test conducted by the doctor showed Habibu to spoil the small children, when asked Habibu confirmed to hisbah that he did what he was accused of, hisbah sent them to the police for deeper investigation and present him before the court the need to listen to his kind of offenses based on his age.”
