In order to defend his name about his suspected role in the death of his former label signee, Mohbad, Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola, nicknamed Naira Marley, has stated that he is prepared to travel back to his country.
Naira Marley revealed the information on Wednesday while speaking with Reno Omokri, a social media influencer.
Since Mohbad’s passing, there has been fury on social media as many recordings of the late artist accusing Naira Marley of planning his gang-beating incident surfaced.
The label owner reiterated that a lot of the mob has been stoked by the media against him and that he will only return to the nation if the authorities ensure his safety in his first interview since the scandal.
“If the security agencies can guarantee my safety, I will be in Nigeria for investigations”

Additionally, he claimed that Mohbad battled suicidal ideas while he was still living.
“There was another time when I was in America,” he recalled, “and his girl called me to say that he had locked himself in the bathroom and was contemplating suicide or something similar. I phoned him from there and we talked on the phone while I filmed the exchange. I asked him, “Why did you want to kill yourself? You are a king; if your family is making you anxious (since at this time, he was with his family and they were all around him), tell them to calm down. You can do whatever you want; don’t worry about what people will think if you commit suicide right now.
“I was so concerned so I called him to try to give him rest of mind, if your family is stressing you out, leave.”
“He wanted to commit suicide, in the video, I was just trying to find out what was wrong with him.”
