With recent increases in armed attacks, security has been worse in the South-East.
Several of the deadly attacks in the area have occurred in the states of Anambra and Imo.
In addition to attacking government employees and buildings, gunmen in the South-East have also targeted military personnel and employees of other security organisations.
The region’s deadly attacks have been attributed by the Nigerian government to the pro-Biafra group IPOB.
However, the gang has consistently denied being behind the attacks.
