Audu Shuaibu, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, has warned Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, to avoid Imo State ahead of the November 11 governorship election.
Otti had urged the incumbent governor, Hope Uzodimma, to prepare his handover note before his imminent defeat. Shuaibu emphasized that Otti’s presence could spark violence and scare voters. He urged politicians and elder statesmen not to make unguarded statements, as tension is already building up ahead of the November 11 poll.
Shuaibu emphasized the importance of speaking truth to power and ensuring sanity in Nigeria’s governance.
