Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has objected to the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal’s ruling that Bola Tinubu won the presidential election on February 25, 2023. Atiku believes the tribunal’s decision did not help rebuild trust and refuses to accept it. The tribunal maintained Tinubu’s victory while dismissing Atiku’s and Peter Obi’s cases. Both Atiku and Obi disagree with the tribunal’s decision and plan to appeal to the Supreme Court. The PEPT unanimously maintained Tinubu’s electoral victory.
