Ahead of the governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi on November 11, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Maj.-Gen. Christopher Musa has issued a warning to those who claim to be disruptors: stay away.
In order to guarantee free and fair elections, Musa promised the police the backing of the Armed Forces.

Election disruptors would not be allowed to incite violence in the states, according to Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

Security services used information from INEC and threat assessments to ensure that the off-cycle elections were free and fair. Accredited journalists would be safeguarded throughout the polls, Egbetokun promised.
