Edo State Government has removed Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu from office due to a disagreement with Obaseki

Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu has been denied access to his office at the Government House in Benin, Nigeria.
He has not received a formal letter from the governor’s office regarding his relocation to a new office.
The building, which was previously the Edo State Public Procurement Office, was reportedly renovated by workers.
The governor and Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, denied the move, accusing Shaibu of orchestrating a plan to kick him out of office. The governor has expressed his desperate desire to succeed him.
