Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of the Anambra South Senatorial District has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Young Progressives Party (YPP).
Ubah’s defection was caused by irreconcilable divisions in the YPP, according to a letter that was read aloud by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Thursday during a brief plenary session.
But Ubah made no attempt to clarify the insurmountable distinctions.
The letter went on to say that Ubah made the choice for his constituents.
Before he switched to the APC, Ubah was the only representative of the YPP in the 10th Senate.
