The Independent National Electoral Commission has begun the distribution of electoral materials in the 27 local government areas of Imo State.
This comes two days before the governorship election scheduled to be held on Saturday in the state.
Skyton247 learnt that the materials were being distributed at the Central Bank of Nigeria office in Owerri, the state capital.
The materials being distributed by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission include ballot papers, result sheets and BVAS machines.
Addressing journalists, the South-East INEC National Commissioner, Kenneth Ukeagu, said the commission was “distributing the sensitive materials to all the LGAs in the state because elections would take place in all the LGAs in the state”.
He added that security agencies had assured the commission of adequate security on Election Day.
