Over 47,000 people have signed a petition to ban Marlian Music, describing the Nigerian record label as a drug syndicate disguised as a record label.

The campaign, “Ban Marlian Music,” aims to expose the activities of Marlian Records, which recruits young boys to sell drugs and engage in drug-related activities.

The campaigners argue that the case of ex-signee Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad/Imole, highlights the exploitation of human rights by Sam Larry and Naira Marley. Mohbad had petitioned against Sam Larry and others for threats to his life, property damage, and oppression.

The campaigners call for a thorough investigation into Mohbad’s death and the reasons behind his detention.

They also highlight the undercover activities of the Anambra police, including the harvest and trade of human organs and detaining innocent citizens.

The campaigners call on the government to intervene and conduct thorough investigations into the Marlian Music brand.
