David Umahi, Minister of Works said the proposed Lagos 4th Mainland Bridge Supersonic Highway will increase travel time from Lagos to Abuja to four hours.
Umahi made this declaration on Thursday, August 31, while visiting the states of Ogun and Oyo as part of his ongoing highway inspection tour, according to a statement issued by Blessing Lere-Adams, director of press and public relations for the Ministry of Works.
Umahi was said to have said the following when speaking with Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun in his office in Abeokuta, the state’s capital:
It will take four hours to go from Lagos to Abuja on the proposed 4th Mainland Bridge Supersonic Highway, I hereby inform you. Driving from Lagos to Abuja will take four hours, and we are coming to a conclusion on it after yesterday’s presentation with the expert.
