Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State is overseeing the construction of Qatar Sanabil Mass Housing Project in Chikun local government area, aimed at housing over 500,000 less privileged individuals in the state.
According to the state government, the first phase aims to build 100 homes, with additional houses in the second phase.
A farmland, including a poultry farm, will also be set up to provide a source of livelihood for the less privileged residents.
