The Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for president, Atiku Abubakar, has filed a motion to overturn President Bola Tinubu’s appeal to prevent Chicago State University from disclosing his academic records.
A US magistrate had granted Tinubu’s request that CSU provide the documents to his legal team. The requested records include Tinubu’s admission and acceptance history, dates of attendance, and degrees, honours, and awards received from CSU. In an appeal to the US Supreme Court, Tinubu’s attorneys argued that a district judge should examine the magistrate’s judgement.
The request was approved by the US district judge. In his application, Tinubu claimed that Atiku’s request is too intrusive and that his academic records are useless in Nigerian courts. Angela Liu, Atiku’s attorney, requested a judgement
