A fresh engineering graduate of the University of Abuja, Halima, who was declared missing on Wednesday has been found alive.
The 21-year-old Halima was declared missing on Wednesday, January 16, 2024, when she didn’t arrive home hours after she said she was heading home from the university, where she is currently doing her final year project.
Her sister, Faiza Mahmud, who confirmed her rescue on Thursday, January 18, said Halima was rescued by a Good Samaritan after she was thrown out of a moving vehicle by a suspected one-chance criminal gang.
“She entered a taxi headed for Giri, when they picked her up, then turned right heading for Zuba,” Faiza explained.
“She said no that she is not going to Zuba but Giri. They used something to hit her mouth and she couldn’t speak again.
“They took her to someone, laid her somewhere and forced a liquid substance down her throat. They started chewing things and pouring spits on her body.
”They left her, came back later, and then tried to use a diabolical stuff (I don’t know if she would like that said in public) and the boss said something was blocking him and told them to fling her out.
“They took her scarf, shoes, phone, Abaya. She was thrown out at A.Y.A in Abuja. A man saw her and helped her. He then reached out to us.”
