The ruling of the governorship election petitions tribunal upholding the election of All Progressives Congress (APC) Governor Uba Sani has been rejected by the PDP branch in Kaduna.

The PDP declared that it would go to the Court of Appeal to seek remedy.

This was revealed in a statement released on Friday by PDP spokesman in Kaduna Alberah Catoh.

According to the statement, a review by the PDP attorney revealed that the judgement did not adhere to the standards of substantive justice. After the tribunal confirmed Mr. Sani’s election, the response followed shortly.

The opposition group also claimed that the decision did not follow current electoral laws, rules, and standards.

Accordingly, “the party has directed its lawyers to appeal the judgement at the Court of Appeal, Abuja, within the timeframe specified by law,” the statement read.

It asked PDP supporters across the state to maintain their composure and good spirits, trusting that even though the road to justice is long, they will eventually arrive.
