In connection with the alleged harvesting of crucial human organs by suspected forger Noah Kekere, the Plateau State Police Command has detained two additional physicians.
Kekere was recently detained after he was suspected of removing a woman’s kidney during surgery. The Plateau Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association distanced itself from Kekere, claiming that investigations had shown him to be a non-physician.
A team of medical experts will shortly be formed by the state’s commissioner of police to look into the accusations. Kekere was detained after a businessman accused him of removing his wife’s kidney during surgery in 2018.
