On September 6th, the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPT) is anticipated to issue its eagerly awaited decision.
This information was provided in an interview with Channels Television on Monday, September 4, by the Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Umar Bangari. He said that interested television stations will be able to broadcast the events live.
The tribunal has received a plea from the Labour Party (LP), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), as well as each of their presidential candidates, asking that President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 election be declared invalid.
Election tribunals in 25 states are anticipated to render judgement on petitions for the governorship, National Assembly, and state assembly elections.
Out of the 28 states where elections were held, not fewer than 25 states are contesting the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) announcement of the polling results.
